Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers

Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.

Job Tasks:

  • Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them. Position construction forms or molds
  • Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed. Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
  • Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. Spread concrete or other aggregate mixtures. Finish concrete surfaces.
  • Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process. Monitor construction operations.

Qualifications and Requirements are as follows:

Operator

Looking for people who will hold safety to highest standard in the workplace. As a company we are regulated by MSHA/OSHA standards. These people MUST have experience on front end loader, dozer, trackhoe, and excavating production experience. People with motor grader and GPS experience is a big plus. Utilities Superintendent

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the scope and schedule of the assigned projects, from pre-construction through project close- out
  • Understand estimates, plans, construction methods & safety regulations
  • Must be able to look ahead of schedules (2-3 weeks)

Asphalt Foreman

The Foreman coordinates activities of workers engaged in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt or similar material to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, aircraft landing strips, driveways, etc.

Provides overall on-site leadership and management on a construction project site. The Foreman is considered the Company’s representative and main point of contact on the construction site. The Foreman handles the flow of communication between the superintendent, on-site inspectors, subcontractors, craft employees, and personnel. The Foreman plans, coordinates, and supervises onsite functions including scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of field personnel.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinates plans and supervises field staff, subcontractors, and craft activities for the assigned project.
  • Liaison with other departments, plants, etc. to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.

  • Understand and apply the requirements in project documents regarding quality control procedures such as testing, shop drawings, material approvals, samples, mock-ups, execution of the work, etc.
  • Become familiar with each job estimate for general condition items and follow the direction of the General Superintendent regarding performing work within the boundaries of the estimate.
  • Keep the General Superintendent apprised of any change in activity or cost prior to incurring additional time or materials outside of the project scope.
  • Provide input on scheduling and placement of production crews. Plan and review the construction project with the General Superintendent and Project Manager on a weekly basis. Supervise the scheduling and completion of warranty issues.
  • Assist the General Superintendent and Project Manager in the preparation of progress schedules, keep them properly updated, and ensure that everything feasible is done for the project to meet the required dates.
  • Support the General Superintendent to ensure timely on-site delivery of materials and equipment furnished by the Company and subcontractors.
  • Direct and train the field staff to ensure their continued development by use of performance evaluations, varying assignments, and promoting positive project morale.

Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Essential Functions:

  • Always works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs basic to intermediate repairs and minimal troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision
